Private files and customer portals

Attach files to the correct supported record so access follows its purpose and ownership. A customer portal is a limited shareable link, not a staff login or a public directory of company files.

Follow the workflow

  • Open the record that owns the evidence or attachment.
  • Choose the supported image or PDF format for that destination and keep the file within 8 MiB.
  • Check the uploaded name and preview, and remove accidental private details before sharing.
  • Create a portal link only for the correct customer or supported partner audience.
  • Set and review expiry, revoke or rotate a link when it should no longer work.

Before you continue

Anyone holding a valid portal link may use its limited access. Share it carefully. Expiry, revocation, company suspension and subscription/product checks can make a formerly valid link unavailable.
