Service tickets, warranties and follow-up
Keep the customer’s reported issue, the affected equipment or work, assigned responsibility and service history together. Warranty information records coverage; it does not automatically approve every repair or charge.
Follow the workflow
- Open the customer and identify the relevant warranty, installation or generic Field work.
- Create a service ticket with a clear subject, issue and priority.
- Assign responsibility and record each service activity and appointment.
- Check the actual coverage dates, terms and equipment identifiers before deciding the next action.
- Record the resolution and any follow-up visit, keeping billing decisions separate.

Before you continue
A service record linked to a Solar installation can require Solar access even when generic Field service is available. Do not remove its source merely to make it visible.
Your questions, answered
Are a service ticket and private Platform support the same?
No. Service tickets concern your customers; private Platform support concerns help with your company’s software account.
