Service tickets, warranties and follow-up

Keep the customer’s reported issue, the affected equipment or work, assigned responsibility and service history together. Warranty information records coverage; it does not automatically approve every repair or charge.

Follow the workflow

  • Open the customer and identify the relevant warranty, installation or generic Field work.
  • Create a service ticket with a clear subject, issue and priority.
  • Assign responsibility and record each service activity and appointment.
  • Check the actual coverage dates, terms and equipment identifiers before deciding the next action.
  • Record the resolution and any follow-up visit, keeping billing decisions separate.

A service record linked to a Solar installation can require Solar access even when generic Field service is available. Do not remove its source merely to make it visible.

Your questions, answered

Are a service ticket and private Platform support the same?

No. Service tickets concern your customers; private Platform support concerns help with your company’s software account.
