Inventory, warehouses and stock movements
Stock balances belong to a product and warehouse. Physical quantity, reserved quantity and available quantity describe different states and should not be treated as interchangeable.
Follow the workflow
- Review the product type, base unit and tracking requirements before entering stock.
- Choose an authorized warehouse and check its current balance.
- Record the actual receipt, movement, reservation, consumption or return using the relevant action.
- Review quantities and unit conversions before confirming.
- Trace discrepancies through movement history and linked purchasing or delivery records.

Before you continue
Reservations cannot exceed the allowed available stock. Do not edit a historic unit or create an unrelated receipt to hide a shortage. Warehouse access can differ by branch.
Your questions, answered
Does a reservation remove physical stock?
It allocates stock to work. Delivery or consumption records the supported physical movement.
